Christmas Year Around
 
For the Toy Lending Library of SD to continue to offer
beautiful
educational toy boxes
free of charge,
it needs the help of community members like you.
We do toy drives to collect toys and books,
we write for grants and
partner with other nonprofits to create more toy boxes but
we really need
support to pay for the salaries of the people doing the fun hard work.

Our STAR team:

​

  •  builds,

  • checks,

  • maintains,

  • repairs,

  • creates,

  • processes,

  • cleans and sanitizes

  • inspects and closes

  • prepares,

  • coordinates

  • and much much more.

Toy boxes need to be FREE to allow everyone the opportunity to learn through play and they need to be CLEAN

The Toy Lending Library of SD cleans and sanitizes ALL toy boxes,

even the brand new ones!

Toy box circulation
continues to increase

 

In the first three months of 2024, more than 800 toy boxes were checked out/

renewed/each month since April. 

That's the number of toy boxes that needs cleaning and sanitizing every month.

To clean and sanitize the toy boxes we trust an incredible team:

-3 part-time employees,

-2 part-time NICOA workers,  and

-many wonderful volunteers.

Hello!
I'm Anelis, the Executive Director.

2024 marks the first year that we have

5 part-time employees, including me!
 

This was only possible for the incredible support of:

  • Sioux Empire United Way,

  • Cathy and Dave B.

  • Olivia and Dave

  • many other generous donors!


Having employees is very important

because it's the only way that we will be

able to continue to sustain the growth in toy box circulation.

Many more children are playing!
Many more are learning!
